Most cities have graffiti art, whether it be on the walls of old buildings or sprayed on train cars. While most people look down on such activity, I see it as an outlet for expression. There are many young people in the world who have amazing talent and it goes unseen because they go unnoticed. To some, it’s just a way to tag a wall, or have your name on something, but for others it’s the only way to express emotion and art. Those who don’t enjoy graffiti should find solutions to the problem. They could create free art programs, or hire the street artists to create a city mural. Instead of “stamping out” what one may think is a problem, that energy should be put into thought and help for the teens struggling with what life has dealt to them. People have to remember that everyone isn’t given the same opportunity in life and when faced with no other choices, some tend to lash out in various ways, such as graffiti.
