I often go to http://www.interiordesignstores.org for information about where to shop and various manufacturers. This is one of the many sites I frequent and I have about a thousand bookmarks for sties I find to be interesting or if they sell items I may need in the future. Thus, when I need to find something I can usually do so in a very short period of time.

My bookmarks are meticulously filed and organized so I know exactly where everything is. In addition, every bookmark has a thorough description so I can remember what the site is without having to take the time to actually go to the site. Just by being organized I am able to respond to my customers very quickly and simply do an overall better job. Always look for little ways you can speed things up and avoid clutter at all costs, this is what makes an ok designer great.

It is Really Important to Recycle

These days everyone is really concerned about the overall health of the planet and what we can do to help protect it from harm. I’m doing my part by making sure that any materials we get that can be recycled end up in a recycling bin. You can recycle all sorts of materials like glass, various plastics, and even paper. But, if consumers don’t go through the trouble of placing them in the appropriate bin then it ends up being a big waste. My kids were the ones who really started encouraging us to use these bins because they had learned about recycling in their school. I guess we do need to be a good example to them and continue to recycle as much as possible. It makes the most sense and it also makes us better people. Hopefully it will keep the planet healthy for our kids one day.

New Comforter for Daddy

My dad has been wanting a new comforter set for his guest room day bed. So I went to the department store just to look around and see what they have. My dad loves horses and has a few ornaments and wall paintings of horse in the guest room. When I stumbled across the horse comforter set that they had I knew it would look perfect in the guest room. It was at a great price so I had to get it. My dad’s house is right by the mall so after I bought it I went to his house and made the bed with his new comforter set. He is an over the road truck driver so he was not there to see but will be ever so surprised when he gets home. When he got home he didn’t even call to thank me!! So when I got over there I checked about it and he had not even been to the back room since he’d been home. He went back there to see what I was talking about and he was super happy with it and told me I was the best daughter he had… which I already knew =)

How Am I Going to Have a Comfortable Sleep?

Having done “mini-makeover” to my kitchen, including a fancy new fabric noticeboard, I would like to make my home environment to be more comfortable than it is currently by mounting a new air conditioner. In these hot days it is very difficult to stay in my house especially when I am sleeping in my bedroom. This hot temperature prevents me having a good sleep during the hot season. There’s not much repairs or alterations to be done to the walls and the windows of the room to fix the new equipment. The upper part of the window grill can be removed and the machine can be fixed there. I do not think that I will face a problem with the electricity bill if I found a 1000W machine. I’m only going to use it while I am sleeping and if the room is well sealed I can use it in the power efficiency mode. I hope this will help me to find a comfortable sleep after a tired working day in this hot season.

There are so many brands to choose from when buying furniture. One good brand out there is chic furniture. Too many people do not do enough research when buying furniture. A sofa is definitely not just a sofa for I have learned the hard lesson. I bought one used and didn’t really test it out in the store well and I am miserable with my decision now and am looking to bail on it and get another. Trust me there is nothing worse than sitting or trying to lay on something that is uncomforatble. When buying furniture it is best to do a little homework, read some reveiws, give it a good testing out in the store because it is not a small purchase and if you get the wrong one, as I know, you will be very unhappy and selling it isn’t easy.
